Blue Grapes

These dark blue berries are sweet and juicy. There are two types of blue grapes available to the fresh market.

Coronation - This is a seedless variety that is rapidly growing popularity. It is great for fresh eating but is also good for cooking and suitable for freezing.

Concord - This is the old standard variety that our mothers made juice and jellies from. Still a favourite for fresh eating and great for sauces.

Vineland Growers Co-operative has the distinction of being the longest continually run co-operative in Ontario. With facilities strategically located throughout the Niagara Penninsula's fertile furit belt, we are a grower-oriented and run organization dedicated to provideing first class service to more than 300 shareholders.

Four families of fruit growers formed Vineland Growers' Co-operative in 1913. Their purpose at that time was to merge their knowledge and skills to grow better fruit and, in turn, provide their customers with a premium quality product. Through their co-operation, better varieties of fruit were developed and, as increased production was realized, the four original members were better equipped to serve the needs of their customers.

Since our formation on September 12, 1913, Vineland Growers Co-operative Limited has become a respected and valued Niagara Penninsula institution. the strength of acquisitions and mergers over the last five years has well supported the members and growers of Niagara's finest fruit. our produce includes strawberries, cherries, plums, pearches, nectarines, pears and grapes. Our co-op stores stock everyhting from pruners to fertilizers.

For over 90 years, the concept of these founding growers has never changed. The newest generations of the first four families, along with many more area growers, are still dedicated to the high quality standards on which the company was based.

Our families take pride in packing under the Vineland Logo label and are committed to making sure that they harvest and pack a premium brand of Ontario Fruit. Fruit is picked, packed and delivered at optimum time for the freshest, best tasting fruit available.

The staff of the company is dedicated to the same integrity and high standards that the growers have set forth as their mandate. From the marketing personnel, shippers, field men and inspectors, along with the support staff, we are committed to providing the best fruit that Niagara has to offer.
